Thiago Taborda Simões is a partner and the founder of TSA Advogados. He holds a master’s and doctorate degree in Tax Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and is a specialist in Tax Law at the Brazilian Institute of Tax Studies (IBET).
He served as Full Councilor of the 2nd Section of the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF) from 2012 to 2015. Simões is a professor of the graduate course in Tax Law at IBET, at Escola Superior de Advocacia (ESA) and the Getúlio Vargas foundation (FGV), besides being the author of several works dedicated to analyzing tax and social security aspects of Brazilian laws.
He has been among the most respected lawyers in Brazil since 2015 according to Análise Advocacia yearbook.
He works in the firm’s Tax, Social Security and M&A areas.
